DD, other than watching the Steelers win a Super Bowl, seeing Batch crying on the sidelines after beating the Ravens might be my favorite Pittsburgh football moment.

    Sounds good to me.

Yes, but we see over and over and over again that a HOF quarterback is not required to win a championship. Flacco's done that. He maxed out in the system he was playing in.

I enjoyed it too, frankly. Batch is a great dude. I talked to him in the locker room afterward and he was glowing. It will likely be the last start of his career, and it what a nice way to go out for a classy guy who has been an important voice in the NFLPA in recent years.

Ultimately, though, Flacco had little to do with why the Ravens lost that game. Ed Reed and the rest of the defense get to own that one.

Mizzou knows more about pro football than just about anyone on this board.

We may have honest differences of opinions about things at times, but he always backs up his arguments with solid points and not just a bunch of Elias Bureau stats.

As a Viking fanboi, I really don't want to see them give up on Harvin like they did on Sidney Rice. Yes, he's been injured too often, but I think he can still be a go-to receiver and they need someone like that. If they ditch Harvin, they will have to go out and look for a No. 1 receiver again.

If Flacco doesn't make the Hall, this will go down as the first non-HOF QB Super Bowl winner since the 2002 Bucs. After that it was Brady, Brady, Big Ben, Peyton, Eli, Big Ben, Brees, Rodgers and Eli.

Like your wardrobe and most of your other thoughts, this needs to update.

Comparing Flacco to any QB you think luckboxed his way into a Super Bowl win does nothing to advance your argument.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!

The high-ranking Vikings source told Anderson that Harvin classifies himself among the NFL's top wideouts and expects a contract similar to the deals recently signed by Detroit's Calvin Johnson (eight years, $132 million) and Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald (eight years, $120 million).

  11. That's some serious Imitrex money. He'll be able to afford the injections.

That could be an NFL record for distance between perceived value and actual value.
