Aaron Rodgers is also younger than Brandon Weeden, by almost two months.

He was also tied for third in the league this season at 8.0 yards per passing attempt. Tied with Peyton Manning and ahead of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady.

Can Harbaugh build a nursery on site to keep an eye on Alex?

Harbaugh is so happy to get rid of Smith that he'll drive him to Kansas City.

Might have more to do with the fact that he's from Estonia and didn't start playing football until 2009.

He was a world junior record holder in the discus and moved to Dallas in 2007 to train with SMU's track coach. The only reason he even tried football was because SMU dropped it's men's track program.

Another guy who put up some impressive numbers was Cornelius Washington LB from Georgia - ran a 4.55 40 at 268 LBS. Looked like a bigger version of James Harrison.

Georgia had 3 big time LB's that all seemed to be head cases.

Chiefs didn't really have any choice. Their fan base would have gone nuclear if they tried to go with Cassel for another year, there's no marquee free agents they could have gone after, and the draft class is a pretty poor one for ready-made quarterbacks.

Smith may not be the answer, but is he going to do worse than Cassel would have done this season?

Whatever the price in draft picks, I agree that if the Chiefs had gone another year with Cassel (at $10M/yr!!) they might have started tarping the seats at Arrowhead. Well the Chiefs can go the Joekel/Smith (like Tomlinson/Brees) route; wait that's the 2nd rounder the Niners got (yes!), sorry. Well Montana was a 3rd rounder, so maybe Joekel/Nassib.

Checking down for a five yard completion on third and nine is a great way to improve passer rating.

Cassel had a 27/7 line only a few years ago. I'm not saying he is the second coming, but twisting numbers can make anyone look decent.

  10. One team apparently asked Colorado tight end questions about his sexual orientation.

I'd want to know how a player would fit into a locker room, his personality, how much his home life might impact his play. How many people they may end up supporting with their paycheck.
Can you ask if they have guns?

Cassel was good a few years ago. Now he isn't. That happens a lot. There is no twisting involved there, only the changes in a player over a couple years' time.
