New coaches always like to have "their own" qb and Cutler's never had a passer rating higher than the 88.5 he had as a rookie in Denver. Of course, the Bears o-line is horrendous.

No way will Chicago draft a QB in the first three rounds unless someone takes a crazy slide down the draft board and even then, I still don't think they will...

I don't really see the Vikings taking a QB in the first couple rounds either.

Bills, Raiders, Eagles, Cardinals, Jaguars, Jets, maybe the Cowboys...

The Bears won't take a QB early, but with Trestman's background, I think it would be smart for them to take one later in the draft if there's one they like. Let the QB guy work with a youngster so the team isn't completely fucked if/when Cutler misses time.

Cutler is safe for now, but with an offensive-minded head coach who has years of NFL experience working with QBs, he needs to show the franchise there's more to his game. He's got a stud receiver, so if the OL gets shored up, no more excuses.

To be fair, that's a pretty big if... But if the Bears can get a decent line, I could see them winning the north next season.

Eifert would be a great addition and help Cutler.

I think there is a bunch of teams that hope Barkley falls to 2nd or 3rd round.

Cutler has done some amazing things given the OL and, until last year, the dregs he had to work with at receiver. But the franchise just finished cleaning house essentially to cater to him. He needs to step up and show he's worth it.

A good TE is crucial. Kellen Davis blows. Drafting at 20, Eifert is probably a better option than an OL. They can stock up on those on the second day. Plus, given the franchise's track record in drafting OL, I'd rather see them take the first TE than the sixth OT.

I'd also be OK with them trading up to take Joeckel or the other guy. I'd be giddy if Chance Warmack fell to them.

If the Bears can get O line in order they can do some damage. Alshon Jeffries is going to be a good receiver.

Trestman system will help O line. Ball will get out quicker.

Cutler and Trestman have a past relationship I have no reason to believe has deteriorated ... yet. Cannot discount that.

The Smith trade, with KC parting with a second-rounder, leads me to believe the Chiefs see a lot of potential fail at the QB position among these prospects.

KC is probably eyeing what it perceives as a sleeper later, though.
