Hell of a player in Pittsburgh's system, which I don't think is the one the Saints run. Sort of a late bloomer, but at times he seemed like one of the top two or three players for Pittsburgh last year on defense.

Late bloomer sounds like he is an older player, but it was only his fourth year in the league. Lewis didn't show much until 2011 as a reserve, but he was the Steelers' top corner last year. That is more of an accomplishment than it might seem to be. Pittsburgh relied heavily on its secondary and gave up the fewest yards passing per game in the NFL in in 2012 because the pass rush was weak and inconsistent.

I think he's good enough to help in any system. For all the talk about Wallace and Harrison, Lewis is a much bigger loss.

I like what the Chiefs are doing.

Signing Sean Smith, Dunta Robinson, Donnie Avery, Anthony Fasano and Chase Daniel. Letting Glenn Dorsey walk, and dumping Matt Cassell, Steve Breaston and Eric Winston. Re-upping Dwayne Bowe, restructuring Tyson Jackson and franchising Branden Albert. All were good moves.

This is a team with talent, probably the only 2-14 team ever to have six Pro Bowlers. Alex Smith is of course the wild card, but Andy Reid always makes QBs better.

I always liked Daniel as the Saints' back-up, what little I saw of him. He could have success in the right system, given the chance (though I'm sure the Chiefs hope they never have to find out).

Assuming they pick Luke Joeckel No. 1 overall and install him as the right tackle, they suddenly have the makings of a good offense. I could see them making the leap to 8-8 next year in that division.

I like the moves, too. 10-6 and a wild card.

I hope Andy Reid does great in KC and gets himself a nice tan, too.

I have to believe that Reid would never have taken the Chiefs job (he had options) if he didn't believe the team was capable of a relatively quick turnaround. He's not exactly at the long-term rebuilding project stage of life.

The Chiefs were a perfect situation for Reid. If they win eight games next season, which they could very easily do, he looks like a genius.

If they make the playoffs, he'll be Coach of the Year.

Despite the record last season, I don't think anyone who watched the Chiefs last season ever thought they were the worst team in the league.

I think the rebuilding in Arizona would have been a lot more difficult. He might have still been able to trade for Alex Smith, but the Niners might have been unwilling to deal Smith to another team in the same division. I think Reid would have been successful in Arizona, but having arguably the two best teams in the NFC in the division would have made things a little more difficult.

The Broncos will be overwhelming favorites in the AFC, but after them, it should be wide open. I could see the Chiefs being a Wild Card this season.

Possible. We've seen over and over again that it doesn't take forever to rebuild in the current NFL. A wild-card THIS year might be a lot to ask, but not unrealistic. Look at the Vikings and Redskins last year.

Dustin Keller signs with The Dolphins. Can Tebow play TE.

I think that a Wildcard berth is very dependent on the strength of schedule but contending for the championship is something well beyond the weak schedule.
