How many guys are left on the Jets roster? Seven?

Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, KGB's brother, apparently works for NFL Network and is saying on Twitter that the 49ers are in talks to sign both Asomugha and Woodson.

    Jesus.

    You're move again, Seattle!

  4. The nightmare in Arizona is over as the Cardinals release Kevin Kolb. He was due a $2 million bonus if he was still on the roster tomorrow.

I see a lot more "good" teams in the NFC than I do in the AFC.

The Niners and Seahawks might be the favorites in the NFC, but I could see Green Bay, Chicago, Minnesota, Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta, the NY Giants, and New Orleans all contending... Tampa might be a dark horse...

In the AFC, Denver should be such an overwhelming favorite it's not even funny. I think Houston and Indy will be also be good. I think most of the other teams that are usually in the mix (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New England) are significantly down. I don't know that I would predict KC to make the playoffs, but I think 8-8 is very realistic.

But, as someone already mentioned, nobody thought Washington and Indianapolis was going to be any good last season, so I'm sure there will be a couple teams that will be better than anyone thinks...

The Cardinals still don't have a QB. Nightmare is far from over.

With what Philly already has to pay Asomugha this season ($4 million), it could be possible that the Niners will get both players at a crazy discount.

You're on crack, and I say that as a Chiefs fan. Walking through the wilderness of ineptitude for 20 years will do that to a fan. There's ALWAYS another shoe waiting to drop.

Woodson already has a ring and no particular allegiance to the area. But for Asomugha, the chance at a title and returning to his college scene -- and where he runs a tremendous program to get at-risk kids to college -- I bet that would have a lot of appeal.

Seems to me the one on crack would be the guy who has chosen to root for the Chiefs for decades.

Based on cuts and loses to free agency The Jets are going to need to replace 7 starters on defense and 4 on offense through draft and free agent signings.

Mike Tannebaum has replaced Matt Millen on leader board of worst GM ever.

You grow up in it, you don't really have a choice. The Rams are not an option.

As for the Chiefs not being the worst team, Mizzou, I watched them all season and they definitely were the worst team. Fifty-nine percent of that fell on the inept quarterback play, 41 percent on the overmatched coach, 100 percent on the incompetent GM. They were a clown car full of Keystone Kops on every given Sunday.
