At least he didn't kill anyone.

In today's nonsurprise of the day: Dumervil fires his agent, Marty Magid.

Ben Roethlisberger is quickly running out of guys to throw to.

Patriots sign Pittsburgh receiver Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet. Sanders is a restricted free agent, so Pittsburgh gets a third-round pick if the Steelers decide not to match.

That leaves Antonio Brown, Jerricho Cotchery and Plaxico Burress at receiver and it seems unlikely that Heath Miller will be back from blowing out his knee in time for the start of the season.

    Ouch.

Do you think he fired him by fax?

I think I figured out what ultimately went wrong.

The fucking Mountain Time Zone Warp.

You never want to have the nicest car on the street you live. You never want to be the biggest client of your agent.

The Sanders signing really hurts if he goes. What is the number they are trying to match?

Steven Jackson to the Falcons adds a nice little wrinkle to that offense.

Haven't seen it yet. I have only seen that it is a 3-year deal.

Just read Ed Bouchette's story on Keenan Lewis leaving. That deal with the Saints was very cap-friendly for 2013 (only $2.2 million). Sounds like the Steelers didn't even try to keep him. Makes no sense to me at all.

I hope they know what they are doing, but not offering anything is a huge red flag to me about him.

anyone have a scouting report of brandon myers, the ex-raiders te they signed yesterday? i'd never seen him play and don't remember anything about him before he was drafted outta iowa. sixth-ound pick came outta nowhere to catch 76 passes last season. gotta figure he's useless as a blocker but giants have unlimited faith in TE coach mike pope working wonders with young tight ends. and unwavering faith that eli manning works wonders with these guys (see: kevin boss and recent slew of others).

but does myers have legit skills?
