I was thirlled when Cleveland took Joe Thomas. Of course, I had just graduated from UW at the time....

Yes, I know you said there were exceptions. I just couldn't resist.

    LOL...

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking quite that far back, but yeah, that was a bad one, especially since of the first five picks in that draft, four made it to Canton.

I remember in Dr. Z's mock draft that year, under the Cowboys' top pick it said: "Mandarich is tempting."

From the "If it ain't broke, let's fix it" files, the Jaguars unveiled their new uniforms today.
Somebody needs to take the Nike design department out back for a .12 gauge intervention.
The helmets appear to be two-tone -- black in front, gold in the back -- which will make them look like golden mullets in the North Florida sunshine. So, in a way, I guess they are a perfect tribute to Jacksonville.

Any of the teams that copied the San Jose Sharks teal look that sold like mad in the 1990s are long overdue for an update.

I don't think we're too far off from every team in the league having a black uniform in the rotation.

Oh, come now Mizzou. Aside from the teams that have black as one of their primary colors there aren't that many.

You can buy black jerseys for the Niners, Packers, Vikings... That's three teams whose regular colors are pretty far off from black. I don't know if any of them have ever worn those in a game. It's probably just a matter of time...

My brother bought me a black Redskins jersey for a birthday or something a couple years ago. They don't wear them during games, but they're definitely for sale.

Off the top of my head I can't see The Giants or Pats having black jerseys but anything is possible when it comes down to the money.

If I had to guess, I think those two and maybe the Chargers would be the last teams to do it. The Browns might be a hard sell as well... I think you can buy black jerseys for any NFL team. I think it just becomes a question of how hard does Nike push for it, because the second a team wears them in a game, the demand becomes huge, unless it's one of those retro jerseys that is beyond hideous. I know the Steelers wore one that was pretty horrific a couple years ago.

I'm sorry. I always mean "uniforms actually worn in games" when I discuss sports uniforms. The crap they sell to the public doesn't count for me.

You mean you don't think this made "Big Snack" look good?
