Agreed. The combine and draft is where I don't mind hearing Mayock talking a lot. Obviously he
spent a lot of time in film room pre - draft. He had some solid observations on almost every player
drafted even down to how they would fit on team who drafted them.

I can see him one day being a GM.

For a window into how Chip Kelly coaches and thinks this is a good article that he wrote for Nike coaches clinic on efficient use of practice time.

Clear why he was so successful at Oregon beside Phil Knight and private scouting organizations.

He mentions an interesting stat. In 2011 Oregon was on in 3/4 down situations 89 times compare to 1st / 2nd down situations 389.

Dr. Z was the greatest. His analysis and wit is missed to this day.

Here's a tribute column Peter King wrote after Dr. Z's strokes in 2008.

I LOVE Dr. Z, but he came off as really out-of-touch in the 30 for 30 on the Elway-Marino draft. Some old AFL source he really trusted must have had him convinced the Marino cocaine rumors were true.

Jacksonville WR Justin Blackmon suspended four games following a DUI arrest. Jags knew the guy had a history of off-field issues when they drafted him.

Such a shame, because I still believe he has the athletic talent to be a major star. Hopefully he gets his head on straight before he ruins a promising career.

Aaron Rodgers to guest star in Thursday's episode of The Office.

We already know from his commercials that he is 100 times the actor Brett Favre was in "There's Somethng About Mary."

  8. Ryan Clark needs to tone it down.

Nevermind Brady is something like 6-1 all-time vs. Pittsburgh.

So, in other words, the taxpayers were going to finance this:

Awesome. Let everyone's taxpayer dollars finance seats for something they won't be able to afford.

Even with Miami playing there - you are talking about $400 million in renovations that will "last" for what? 20 years? Even if you pay cash for the renovations, that is $20 mil a year to host maybe 20 events in a dream year (playoffs, Super Bowl) between the Dolphins, Miami football, and bowl game. Maybe I missed the occasional super cross or concert.

I am curious about the renovations the NFL wants for another Super Bowl. Seems that stadium was the first outside of the Super Dome, designed with the Super Bowl in mind with suites, a club etc. What has changed? Internet service? Did the rain last time muss a few too many corporate hairdos?

It's just part of the standard extortion package. Give us this, or you'll never see the Super Bowl again. Honestly, when this stuff starts, mayors should send the cops over to the owner's house with some made-up unpaid parking tickets and throw him in the drunk tank on a holiday weekend when the judges are all out of town.

That story is a doozy. The Dolphins' owner is worth $4.4 billion, and he is throwing a public tantrum over not getting $200 million in government money. And he's threatening the political career of the guy who torpedoed the vote.

That guy is from Pasco County, north of Tampa, but they should bring him to Miami and throw him a parade.
