    Woodson signs.

I can only assume no contender was truly interested in Woodson or didn't have plans for him to start, because this is a waste of a precious late-career season.

Some of the drawings show the field configured for baseball. Twins just moved into Target a few years ago. Who would use the baseball configuration?
Would the Twins use it for postseason inclement weather games?

It's pretty obvious money was the biggest factor in this. If he truly wanted another ring or actually wanted to be on the field at the end of a Super Bowl, I'm guessing he could have gone to the Niners or Broncos for the veteran's minimum, or hell, even stayed in Green Bay.

The logo and the uniform in the images looks like the Gophers.

Crabtree tears his Achilles during OTAs...

    Out for the season...

So much for the Niners being the favorites...

The USA Today story also says the Niners gave up a third and fourth round pick for Anquan Boldin.

Uh, no... Try again... Not even close...

Dang. He took off when Kaepernick got in last year too -- this was going to be his star-making year.

So, about that Seahawks-Broncos Super Bowl...

Yeah, no kidding... Boldin was going to be the perfect player on the other side, but I'm not buying Boldin as a No. 1 receiver at his age. Great player and a great pickup, but if teams key on him, which seems likely with Crabtree out, I can't imagine that he will be super effective.

Damn, he was a start in the making. Now if for some reason Manningham can come back to where he was, Manningham and Boldin is still not bad but that's a big if.

The 49ers do have last year's first-round pick, A.J. Jenkins, who didn't catch a pass. So we're going to find out in a hurry if that was just a huge Harbaugh/Baalke whiff or if they were just taking the "project" route.
