I'm still looking for the quarterback that this can't be said about.

There are a bunch of QBs who bounce off the pressure and can run. Brady isn't one of them.

It will be interesting to see (1) if the Broncos can put that much pressure on Cam Newton (my sense is no) and (2) can they get him on the ground when they get there (again, my sense is no).

I think what we will see is a lot of that pressure turns into broken play runs for Newton

As much as I hate to say this, I think if watching football for 21 years has taught me anything it's that in a Super Bowl match-up where you have one team (Denver) with a ferocious defense and a decent QB who can do just enough to not lose you the game going against an inexperienced (Carolina) team led largely by a high-flying offense and QB that seems unstoppable ... you always bet on the team with the better defense.
See: 2014 Seattle Seahawks, 2013 Baltimore Ravens, 2012 New York Giants, 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2008 New York Giants, 2004 New England Patriots, 2003 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2002 New England Patriots, 2001 Baltimore Ravens, 1997 Green Bay Packers, 1996 Dallas Cowboys, etc.

Carolina's offensive line is much better than New England's, so you are probably right about No. 1.

This old piece from 2011 is making the rounds.

Is Cam Newton the New Worst Draft Pick Ever?

The lede and the last paragraph are pure gold:

Cam Newton is a sure-fire bust. I am so certain of this that if he is the Panthers' starting quarterback in 2016, I will buy a Cam Newton jersey and stand in the stadium parking lot in my underwear when the Panthers come to Tampa Bay and hold a sign proclaiming that Auburn rules over Florida and Carolina rules over Tampa Bay.

    ...

In five years, when Tebow is leading Denver into the playoffs and Cam Newton is riding someone's bench, remember this article.

What the last three days have taught me:

Scrap the pipe dream of moving to Las Vegas at 52 and making a living at the sports books. Back to focusing on my blackjack strategy of winning $250 a day. :)
