I'm not a sock puppet. I'm here to have actual, legitimate conversation.

Doodah, just make sure to describe the national anthem in your next gamer. Write it up at halfitme.

I think this is mostly right, although I might say "Even" on the DL. Justin Smith is a beast-man, and when they stack him and Aldon up on the same side that's the most lethal combination in the NFL.

Not really from this post, but from the rest of the thread, it sounds like people are still down on Alex Smith? I don't get it. I'm not saying he's as good as Eli, but he is playing pretty well and the offense has opened up of late. He's at least, I don't know, maybe a Hostetler-type (or maybe a bit better than Hostetler) running the offense. Fifth-lowest single-season INT% in NFL history this season.

Now there's a guy who has no receivers -- they are so bone-dry there that they have Ted Ginn Jr. playing the position.

Okay, please explain to me how I'm a "sock puppet."

All due respect to Smith, the Giants still have a significant edge at quarterback simply because Manning is so good.

Yeah I know, I'm not arguing that, I just thought there were some posts earlier on the thread that were looking at Smith as a net negative to the 49ers. I don't think that's right at all.

Gore is a helluva lot better than Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs unless we're using the Jacobs from 5 years ago.

Bradshaw is so underrated. He had that run across the whole field which set up the Hail Mary. He is a bruiser with speed, and two backs is better than one.

They're not underperforming now. Isn't that what matters?

Doodah. Write a game-style story on why you are, or are not, a sock puppet.

    Have it fine-tuned by halftime.

This. Manning has been fantastic this season and let's remember this ain't his first rodeo. He's won it before and won it with a team that had a similar season.
