I still think the Super Bowl, Final Four, NBA Championships (all seven games), the NCAA Football Championship Game (future) and probably a few other events should always be hosted in Las Vegas.

They can build two venues and this way it helps keep a franchise out of the city.

Really well done although I don't see the Troy Aikman comparisons. Without thinking a lot about it
    Rich Gannon comes to mind.

It's not really playoff related, but this is our current running NFL thread. Bruce Arians "retires" as Steelers offensive coordinator, sounding very much like he was forced out. The odd part is Rooney saying that it was Mike Tomlin's decision, though Tomlin has said all along that he wanted Arians back. Roethlisberger has also pushed hard for years to keep Arians.

This wasn't handled particularly well and I'm not sure if it was the right call, either. That said, I I did want to strangle the guy every time he followed a big running play with a pass from the empty set.

I look forward to the Super Ice Storm Bowl in New York.

Had it already in North Texas.

I'm guessing NY would be better prepared.

The probability is that it will be around freezing or just below and windy, but dry at the New York Super Bowl. Most of us have been at football games in worse weather.

    Thankfully it was played indoors.

CNNSI says San Francisco police will wear Giants gear to tomorrow's NFC Championship game. I like this idea and the move to publicize it. I actually think it's not a bad idea to make this SOP at all NFL games. Hell, they don't even have to actually do it. If everyone thinks they're doing it, maybe it'll make some fans think twice before harassing fans of the opposing team.

There's been a misunderstanding. They're all showing up in Lincecum jerseys.

If you have a hotel downtown Indy is a great city to attend a big event.

Nothing wrong with a visit to St Elmo's or The Slippery Noodle Inn for some blues.

No one has to worry about a conference championship game in Philly
