Which beaches and golf courses do you recommend for the Indy Super Bowl?

    Miami's . . . watching the game on a big screen.

    Sometimes, this is easy.

ProFootballTalk saying that Ted Ginn, who is a game-time decision, probably won't play. That could be big. With the field expected to be sloppy, field position may play an important role and he can flip the field for the Niners on punts.

Forecast at the Stick: winds up to 25 mph and a 100 percent chance of rain.

    Also, Ted Ginn sucks.

Fourth in yards per punt return and third in yards per kickoff return. With the way San Francisco plays, he's a valuable piece of the equation.

Big flurry at the start of the season and pretty average since then.

    Plus, he sucks.

Most returners, even the best ones, are often like that. They might go a few games doing almost nothing and then break out for a game with 200 return yards. The threat alone can affect way the opposing team handles its punts and kickoffs.

Ginn has 466 punt return yards, 800 kick return yards. Nobody else on the Niners is close to those numbers. In a game where field position could prove huge, playing without their top returner could be a factor.

Ted Ginn sucks. That is a fact!!!!!! :)

(Actually Kendall Hunter gave them about the field position they were getting from Ginn. And Ginn was so ... damn ... terrible as a receiver that having him out of the lineup in that capacity is probably worth losing him as a returner.)

Bigpern, IMO it's more important to try and throttle down your return game in a big game and emphasize catching the damn ball and no penalties above all else, especially on a bad weather day.

I don't know if it's been mentioned here, but Chad Ochocinco will not play today due to his dad's death earlier this week.

This reminds me of Koufak refusing to pitch in a World Series game on Yom Kippur. There are simply some things more important than a game.

They'll play better than they would, with him.

Ginn sucks as a receiver but he was huge in the return game, both kickoffs and punt returns. For some reason he cuts more decisively and seemingly runs faster when he's returning. Plus he did not seem reckless in his decision making in whether to catch or let a ball go (see Texans last week). I wish he were playing.

Well is yucky out there so we got that going for ourselves today.
