    Or they could stop worrying about this shit and remember that it is a game. As long as you don't directly get in the face of an opponent, let it go.

    Also, the Saints' thing should be the spike over the goalposts. Does anybody ever remember seeing that one before 1984? The first guy I ever saw do it was Tyrone Young, a receiver with the Saints in 1984. Not that he had the opportunity to do it much. The guy only scored six touchdowns in his NFL career.

    Perhaps. But it's viewed as taunting. And the league knows lower-level teams/players look at that stuff and try to emulate it in their games.

    One could argue, then, that a player was trying to emulate what they do in Green Bay, not knowing it's only legal there. Why not legalize holding in Oakland, or pass interference in Pittsburgh, for example?
