How exactly were the Harbaughs afterward? I didn't see any postgame stuff. I would expect them to be listless, but what else struck you?

That was their big theme all season -- they're just going to work. Harbaugh handed one out to everybody at the start of the season.

Agreed. He wasn't before this year. Not close, to be honest. But with others getting hurt or dropping off and the year he had, he is clearly there now.

I don't think Eli Manning is more talented than Peyton Manning, but I do think Eli is tougher and thinks on his feet better than Peyton Manning. It's why Eli Manning has been a pretty damn good playoff QB.

That's fair. I'll admit I went and looked at the stats after I posted and everything after the top 3 and Eli underwhelmed me a lot. If he's a top 5 QB (and I'm almost forced to say he is), he woke up today in that class.

Note: Today also reminded me how good his crew of pass catchers is. The gap between the Giants wideouts and the Niner receivers was massive.

I'm thrilled all four of them lost.

Eli took a beating yesterday and won. Not many QBs could have won that game. I hope people finally realize how good this kid is

He's working on his autobiography, "My Life As A Blowhard, Know-Nothing, Gouging, Oblivious Fakir", soon at a bookstore near you.

All this talk about the Giants beating the douchebags is funny.

Anyone notice how big of a douchebag team the Giants are? All the trash talk, the taunting etc. Eli is the only one I wouldn't call a douchebag.

Cundiff's not blameless, but the placement was high-schoolish.

the Giants' holder very nearly blew their game-winner as well. Give him mucho credit for not though.

Thank you. I'm so tired of people invoking the babble about how the divisional playoffs are (yeah, that's you, Berman), I could gag.
