If Evans hangs on, Belicheck is roasted because Boldin torched Edelman that last drive. Instead, Flacco's performance will be forgotten and Belicheck's legacy as a defensive guru survives. Funny how history is written.

I did think at one point that Alex was having a positively Tebow-rific performance. And yeah, if Williams hadn't gotten his knee on that punt in the fourth quarter, 49ers in all likelihood win. Punting a lot worked very well for 50 minutes.

Smith couldn't do a thing with those horseshit receivers. Crabtree had one 2-yard catch and that is the only ball a WR caught the entire game.

I would say two tight ends combining for 169 receptions, 2,239 yards and 24 touchdowns (in a regular season) is something we haven't seen before, outside the province of Madden.

    I would not argue that.

Your original appraisal was that with such a system and a few minor upgrades, "they might never lose." That's what I am arguing against.

Calling them TE's is really a misnomer for what they actually do.

Gronwoski is really a Y and Hernandez is really an H.

Agreed. Teams are already adjusting. The Patriots destroyed the Steelers last year, especially Gronkowski. The Steelers adjusted and managed to slow them down this season. Gronkowski and Hernandez are great weapons, especially with Brady throwing to them, but not unstoppable.

They're going to the Super Bowl, largely because of their corpus this season. So, no, they aren't being stopped. Listen, I understand Pats hatred/fatigue. But you've got to hand it to Darth. This offense is a Swiss army knife.

That's a good point, but they do look the part.

You need to go and re-examine what your initial point was.

In all games against teams that finished above .500, the Patriots have averaged 20 ppg. That is not a revolutionary offense that with a few small additions "might never lose."

Suggs calls out Skip Bayless for his usual infantile antics. Well done.

    It's a shame they don't punt more.

He's not used to seeing a professional offense move the sticks.
