Of course, if Carroll doesn't call time out, Bryant's field goal hangs right and the Seahawks are going to San Francisco.

When are coaches going to learn to not call the icing timeout? I understand that they are supposed to allow a practice kick, but you give a pro kicker one shot, it's kind of like giving a pro golfer a mulligan at the tee--if he shanks the first one, 99.9% of the time, he's going to nail the next one.

It looks like the Patriots are only concerned about Foster and daring Matt Schaub to be them. And that's a pretty good game plan.

    49ers open -3, bumped up to -3.5. O/U is 48.

Oh, it's the old "kick it early in case there is a bad snap and you have time for a second try" theory.

Take that over. And give me those 3 for the Falcons.

If you want to win in the playoffs, you gotta get off the field on third down.

The Pats are just four touchdowns better than Houston. It seems that simple.

Ryan came up with the goods in the clutch. He completed two passes when he had to in order to get in field goal range. FG or TD, a win is a win. That's what clutch players do.

C'mon, you're A LOT smarter than that. Totally different situation.

Atlanta TRAILED in the game, it HAD to force the attack. Denver was TIED, so it was perfectly logical to sit on it and play for overtime, where the clock isn't a factor. Not comparable situations at all. You know that.

Jim Nantz's day job is polishing Super Bowl trophies in the Patriots' office building.

Was that John Kerry behind Kraft in his box?

Well, that's not what we were talking about. We were talking about the Seahawks' last drive.

Also, Atlanta had no timeouts left after they called the TO with 13 seconds left. If it was a bad snap, they weren't going to get a second try. Time would have run out.
