No. That argument was never made.

The argument that was made was that in about half his playoff games he "underperformed".

Which makes him pretty normal among QBs.

How many QBs ever took full advantage of the prime years of their team? Let's say each team has a window of 3-7 years where they are the class of the league or in the conversation to win it all.

Which QBs took full advantge of this with their play in big games?

    Graham
    Bradshaw
    Montana
    Starr
    Aikman
    Brady - maybe

Who else can make this list?

Yes that's it. $39.99 gives you all games played since 2009 and all Superbowls with
the "22's" Also give you telestrator app.

My fear is that I would not get any work done once I buy it.

I'd put Elway on there. Broncos were never in position to win it all early in his career -- he took them to the Super Bowl walloping that was their destiny -- and he did come through when they were. (Exception for 1996 vs. Jags, but everyone has at least one exception, even Montana.)

I would add Bob Griese and Jim Plunkett to that list.

Who are the guys who would be the flip side of this list... The guys who had the least to show in the postseason despite elite careers?

    Peyton Manning?
    Brett Favre?

I know they both got the one title, but I think most would agree that when it came to the playoffs, that both underachieved there.

Stop blaming Peyton! He did everything he could! What do you people expect from a Hall of Fame quarterback?

But if John Elway hadn't won those two Super Bowls at the end of his career and had the game-winning drive against the Packers, we'd be talking about how Elway couldn't win multiple Super Bowls and come through in the clutch.

If Manning was quarterbacking that team, Terrell Davis' migraine would have been much worse.
