BTW, everyone seems to forget that before that "prayer that got answered," Eli made an incredible play just to get the chance to throw the ball.

Not to walk back this thread to the Broncos game, but Champ Baily sure has gotten off easy thanks to Moore and Manning and Fox. He could have been beat for four touchdowns.

I honestly though he was living on his rep a bit this year, but teams were still afraid to challenge him. When corners get old, sometimes it's like the fall off a cliff.

Wouldn't Boldin have been a better matchup for him?

Smith is balls out fast. Why put the vet on him?

Did Champ make any mistakes, though? Or is he just too old and slow to keep up?

Their whole defense is structured so they don't have to give him any safety help, which allows them to play a mixture of Cover 1 and Cover 2. It doesn't work if you put him on the slow guy.

Greg Maddux's post-season always seemed less than dominant to me (11-14) but he had a 2.09 ERA in 3 WS.

They had two weeks to prepare for Torrey Smith. I understand what you are saying, but...

Wait, didn't Atlanta light them up earlier this season? How many times did they play legit #1 receivers?

Nobody hits the wall faster than cornerbacks and running backs.

Champ got beat for 2 TDs. Would probably be best for the Broncos to slide him to safety, a la Charles Woodson, and let Tony Carter and Chris Harris take the two corner spots. Let Moore and Adams battle for the second safety position and one of them could play the nickel.
Champ did live a bit on rep this season, but he also had some very solid games. He's not done just yet, although us Denver fans want every DB's head on a platter.

Funny how there's very little love for Flacco, again.

The Harbaugh brothers have coached a total of seven NFL seasons. They have made the playoffs seven times and the conference championship game five times.

But at least they're humble about it.

Always think of Terry McDaniel as a glaring example of this. Pro Bowler for a few years, and one day . . . poof, gone.

Gonna have to unfollow @TomCrean on twitter if this keeps up.
