It was still an ill-conceived play though. Like you were hoping for a PI and one more play.

I've made that argument about the Braves. Nobody wants to hear it. And now, 1995 is long enough ago that it seems ancient history. I know this isn't a fan board, but this shit is getting old.

Was it supposed to be a hook-and-lateral? Looked like there was another receiver cutting under Jones as he caught it, but Jones was too off-balance to have a chance to pitch it.
Also looked like Ryan didn't get a clean throw off, like he wasn't able to fully step into it because of the pass rush.

It looked like Jones meant to lateral it, and there was someone there, but he had a defender's arms around him and couldn't get it out.

Hook and lateral, I can see it. But that's still an awful lot of ground to cover without Kellen Winslow involved. But what did work for Atlanta in the second half anyway.

CBS notes Brady has most playoff wins of any QB.

At least one of those timeouts would have been better spent on fourth down. Come out in a bogus formation, call timeout - or even better have the Niners call one. Call another play.

We'll see if he has a fracture or bad AC joint in his left shoulder. Ryan had his left arm out when he was knocked to the turf, and that can lead to AC joint injuries (unfortunately, I know this from experience).

Great adjustments by the 49ers defense, which went from being blown off the field in the first quarter to a second-half shutout. And yes, good to see that basics like running the ball well and using the TE can still win in the NFL.

    Condescension isn't anger.

Can you be out of the pocket when the pocket rolls with you?

Great job by the Ravens D to this point to only give up 3 points.
