I think the league requires the post-game press conference. I'm sort of surprised the TV part is not required as well, given the money the networks pay them. But they'd be running the risk of an unhappy coach/player dropping a series of F bombs on live TV.

Truthfully, it doesn't matter to me. Not like any of them are going to give any great insights anyway.

"Coach, how does it feel?" "Not particularly f'ing good."

"What was the difference today?" "They scored 28 points and we only scored 13."

"How impressed were you with the Baltimore defense?" "They were tougher than Houston was."

"What will you do now?" "Go home, take a dump and get ready for the draft in April."

Give it a rest. It's been 13 fucking years. Whatever happened happened and I neither need nor want to revisit it. My opinion of the Rev. Lewis needs no further documentation.

And he was also wrong in doing so. However, he won so his actions won't be scrutinized by many the way a jerk like Bumachek is.

Closer to 28 than 32 for running backs.

    Brady is 35.

Brady and Manning have a few years left, but not many.

Brady threw for 4,827 yards this season, the second-highest total of his career. He threw 34 touchdown passes and only eight interceptions. He did much of that, and played all but a few plays of the post-season, without Gronkowski, who is a huge part of that offense. He's had mediocre playoff performances before. Sure, he's approaching the end at 35, but to say he is fading based on one game after the season he had is pretty ridiculous.

By the way, he was 30 when he threw 50 touchdown passes in 2007 and 34 when he set his career high for passing yardage in 2011.

The Belichick brouhaha reminds me of a story the late Will McDonough once told me (and a group of others). Will was of course one of the first print guys to have a network TV reporter gig, and his first assignment was at a Super Bowl, where he was to do the interview with the losing coach. At the pregame meetings with the two coaches, who I think were Don Shula and Joe Gibbs, Will said. "I just want to say one thing. When you see me coming, remember that it wasn't my fault."
