I'm on the opposite end. I said if they won the SB he might retire. I doubt he wants to go out like this.

That being said, I was tickled by the reverse chronological on Brady.

By the time you get to 2005, he's 8-7 in the playoffs, 0-3 against the Mannings with 0 Super Bowl titles and the inability to produce a late winning drive.

Of course, we're STILL waiting for that late winning touchdown drive.

Started to suck? He's sucked from day one at Grantland, which is when I was first aware of his existence.

Hey, I don't like the guy, either. I just don't need to rehash something from 13 years ago to somehow validate my feelings. The guy gives us new material regularly.

But, hey, if it makes you feel better......

The line about Barnwell not being a clutch writer was funny.
Beyond that, the fact that he doesn't validate the lazy media narrative re: clutch quarterbacks and "big moments" is hardly a reason to say that he sucks.

Never been impressed. Overlong, with not a lot of true insight. Jayson Stark for football, except without using all those numbers as a constant crutch.

If he goes 1-4 in his next five playoff games, Peyton and his acolytes get to smile.

The fact that his column was overlong and unreadable is why he sucks, even if he's right.

If he plays it straight and is treated as if another player, you have a point. But, if we're instead being continually bombarded with incessant coverage about how he's such a magnificent person who loves his mother, country and Jesus more than anyone else, then it's fair to also point out his role in the murder/cover up that took two two young men's lives 13 years ago.

Again, it is the threat of running.

Peyton isn't scrambling. No threat. Same with about any QB over 30. Flacco can escape plays and not be a statue. Extending plays. Even if he doesn't run, you have to still account that he might.

    I like her.

Six kids by four women is a little bit of a character dent.

Leave it to a former Hooters calendar model to think Lewis had actually married all the women with which he'd fathered kids.
