I think he grabbed his wife's overcoat by mistake while rushing out the door to catch his flight from Birmingham.

Devil, I don't follow. An agent paying him to be the Redskins doc?

Andrews gets paid by a lot of people for the various surgeries and examinations he does. I imagine his "practice" draws income from about 100 different sources each year. But the Redskins clearly employ him
in some advisory capacity. (He's officially their team doc, but I doubt he's there consulting on injuries for the backup linebacker each day.) His practice is in Alabama after all. I'm not sure why he'd need the hassle at this point after yesterday's debacle.

I am just trying to figure out why he is still there as well.

Unless RGIII is his patient, and he feels RGIII needed him yesterday.

Lobbying Senators not to reduce his Medicaid reimbursements.

The good doctor was clearly concerned about Griffin's knee. He said he was a "nervous wreck" about it. I believe those were his exact words. Griffin is his patient, and he obviously felt Griffin might need him. I mean, the dude is the future of the franchise.

You're really trying to figure out why the doctor was there?

Used to be about half the fields in the league were that way come January. Do you remember the old Municipal Stadium in Cleveland or Memorial Stadium in Baltimore?

Even the Orange Bowl got pretty chewed up from all the activities there if you had the Orange Bowl game and the Dolphins in the playoffs the same week.

He can learn to play smarter, learn when to risk something and when to play it safe. That's part of the maturity process.

When you're 23 you tend to think you're Superman and can take on a freight train. As you get older, discretion becomes the better part of valor.

Sprint turf should almost be mandatory for an NFL team at this point. How powerful is the grass lobby anyway?

Powerful enough to get marijuana legalized in two states.

Oh, not the same grass lobby?!?!?

Running quarterbacks get hurt, even when they start to run a bit less.

Donovan McNabb played 16 games four times in 11 seasons.

Steve Young, once he became the full-time starter, did it three times in nine seasons.

    Michael Vick, once ever.

As for the field, didn't the 49ers used to bring in some guy to reseed the field during the playoffs when Candlestick Park got really bad?

I was going to say they didn't have enough time with just one week's notice, but I suppose they could have gotten it done. But, ultimately, the field is the same for both teams.
