I'm not going crazy with thoughts that RG3 will never be the same quarterback, let alone that he'll NEVER play again. That's way too premature. Par for the course around here, though, for people to jump to these conclusions 5 seconds after something happens.

Point of clarity. "Around here" means the DC area, not SJ.

Well, it's not that much of a stretch to imagine he'll be significantly less explosive if he has indeed torn the same ACL for the second time in the last four seasons.

One of the stories I read said the reason the docs were having a hard time with a diagnosis was because Griffin still had screws and a rubber band (replacing the damaged ligament) from his prior surgery in the knee joint.

Even with the incredible modern medical techniques, there has to be a limit to how many times you can replace or reinforce the ACL with no corresponding loss in strength, power and explosiveness.

What that limit is, I have no idea.

Just imagine how D.C. would be reacting if it truly embraced the football team.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

The Nationals benched a star pitcher for fear of future injury, lost in the playoffs and management got ripped for it.

The Redskins play a star player with an injury, he gets injured again and management gets ripped for it.

So, please, all-knowing fanbois, what should the Capitals and Wizards do in similar situations?

Guess he would have played defense in that AFC Championship game, too.

They were at least hopping on the bandwagon. Stubhub will be filled with good seats if he does not return (which he will).

This doesn't really belong in the playoff thread, but we don't have an NFL offseason thread so I'm putting it here. Anyway, Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain channeled Alec Baldwin in "Glengarry Glenross" today, and got arrested for his troubles:

I covered McClain in college, and I have always believed that he's crazy, I mean a legitimate sociopath. He's going to kill someone before it's all over for him.

I think we've discussed him before and I am a very big proponent of your crazy theory. This arrest photo is going to have to go a long way to top the last arrest photo:

StubHub was filled with good seats for every game this season.
