If you live on the west side of the Beltway in Faixfax, some people feel it's faster to get home, from your seats, watching a game at Heinz Field than a game at Fed Ex.

    It's about 3 1/2 to 4 hours to Heinz.

When I covered the Redskins, the media had to park at Landover Mall and take a shuttle to the stadium, which was simply across the street. Often, it would take 30 minutes to get there.

I break into a cold sweat and get feverish when I even think about driving the Washington / Maryland Beltway corridor. I can't fathom what a nightmare a game day must be like.

About the only thing I like about Met Life stadium is that it's fairly civilized to get to and get out off. Yankee Stadium is not bad either. Citi Field can be a bear but now no one goes to Met games so traffic is light.

Driving to and from Pats' games in Foxboro, once an historic ordeal, than merely horrible, has now improved to just understandably difficult upon exit. When attending Bruins, Celtics or Sox games, I park at nearest T stop (five miles away) and take the subway. But of course, that's as a fan, not a media member.
I can't imagine it's much fun driving to games in the Bay Area, given region's overall traffic dysfunction.

One does not need to be a NASCAR driver to know how to make a left turn

I had season tix for a time when The Pats were at Schafer. That dirt parking lot and the trip down RT 1 were always a memorable experience.

I was at the famed Monday Night game Joe Washington game in the rain. The parking lot was a sea of mud after.

RG3's dad (RG2?) tells USA Today his son's ACL is intact, but not stable enough to play QB in the NFL, so it will be replaced as well:

    Now, it's a party!!

@Extremeskins: This may be blasphemy, but I kinda now wish RG3 was on a different team..: Either that, or Kyle needs to go.

I was just going to say the worst traffic experience I've ever had at any stadium anywhere was in Foxborough.

I'll bet it happens more than you think with the Cowboys. Just off the top of my head, there have been very significant chunks of the stadium (both the old one and the new one) taken over by opponents fans in games against the Steelers, Packers, Chiefs, Browns, Saints and the NFC East teams.

San Diego would have to be up there as well... Covering two Super Bowls there the traffic was unimaginably bad...

I hate being so fucking smart:

He did beat my prediction on how long it would take to be a great player, though.
