Manning has never lost a home playoff game.

As long as we're throwing out that moniker, I'd say Ken Stabler is in the running.

    That's not a compliment.

    Greetings.

    Time for math.

    Gather 'round.

    9 wins.

    11 losses.

    12 postseason appearances.

    In 2006, he was 3-0.

    In 2009, he was 2-1.

    TWO good playoff runs.

For the rest of the time, he was 4-10.

    Let's put this another way:

This is why spikes in statistics that make them look prettier than they should always sticks with me. In 1996, the Dodgers traded for Mike Blowers to play third base. He was coming off a 96-RBI season with the Mariners. Whoo-hoo! Hot corner numbers!

43 of those RBIs occurred in eight games.

But hey, overall numbers were really pretty.

    Lies, damn lies, etc.

4-10. Think it's clear that the Super Bowl runs were the outliers.

Still hope, though. Elway was 7-7 in the playoffs until his final two years.

Flacco joins a long, illustrious list of great QBs who have outplayed Manning in the playoffs. A list that includes immortals like Billy Volek, Chad Pennington and Mark Sanchez. Hell, even Jay Fiedler managed to overcome three picks to beat Manning.

But they skew the samp- . . .

Aw, forget it. Not gonna waste time trying to explain it here.

If anyone else cares to educate RickStain regarding statistics, please feel free.

Fine. Screw Manning. Let's all go back to being 4-12 because it was, well, easier on our nerves and we didn't get our hearts broken in these damn playoffs.

Dan Marino's career playoff record was 8-10. So he obviously sucks, too.

    Incomplete. Ask Dez Bryant.

Nope, Dick's still right, which is such a rare thing, but your argument is that bad.

There is plenty of good reason to criticize Manning for his playoff performance, but saying the two trips to the Super Bowl should be thrown out as outliers is ridiculous.

Then again, so is judging quarterbacks by wins and losses only. It is lazy, overly simplistic and inaccurate.

They don't skew the sample. They *are* the sample.

And in 2006 he beat Rex Fucking Grossman in the Super Bowl. So the 3-0 should have an *

    Hi.

Didn't say they should be thrown out. Didn't even say Manning is a bad quarterback.

Just noted that the record is rather unsightly.

    Same statement as before.
