And if you throw out Tom Brady's career from 2001-2004 he's 7-6 in the playoffs.

Manning deserves plenty of blame for all the losses. It's a part of his record. But if people get ripped for rationalizing the losses, rationalizing the victories is just as absurd.

The number of home defeats is eye-opening, but is it legacy-defining? Michael Jordan never lost a series with homecourt advantage; LeBron lost three years in a row with it. Larry Bird lost SEVEN series with homecourt, which is fairly astounding. And that's basketball, best of 7, where the superior team almost always wins, not a one-shot crapshoot like football. Does anyone use that to dock Larry's legacy? (I know, three titles).

Manning's an all-timer who's fucked up plenty in the playoffs, won plenty and still has a few years left -- to win some more or choke some more. I don't know what his and his team's failures mean historically, but he's been a hell of a lot of fun to watch and in a league where some of us are cheering for teams that trot out Joe Webb in playoff games, I'm grateful for that.

"...Colin Kapernick was able to regain his composure and ... the Coach told me "The team that makes the most tackles is going to win..."

With all the slutty side endorsement work she does, I'm not sure how many people take Erin seriously. My guess is women despise her while guys mostly look at her in a sexual way.

I'm going to call Peyton Manning "shameless" on a public forum. See if he wants to meet up and kick my ass.

If he takes the bait, I will try to get answers to some of your questions.

He'll probably say he listens to Richard Marx.

This is the fourth time in five seasons and fifth time in seven seasons that Manning has led a team with at least 12 wins into the playoffs and failed to win a single game once he got there.

    I don't disagree with this.

He beat up on the Jags, Expansion Texans and paper-tiger Titans for years. Home games in a dome. Road games in warm weather.

I think it also has to do with personality. Peyton was groomed from birth. Always had the size, the opportunities. Played at Tennessee when they were a major player. Played in fawning media markets with soft divisions.

Compare with Eli. Ole Miss trying to win 7 damn games a year. Didn't play in San Diego and CHOSE the Giants. NFC East. Throwing in the Meadowlands.

It's like Peyton racked up his wins on "VARSITY" mode while Eli chose "HEISMAN".

Also, Peyton's a sure fire Hall of Famer, if the Hall is indeed reserved for the best players to ever play Pro Ball.

Maybe Captain Obvious should let you borrow his handle for posts like that.

I never said they were. Merely that Peyton's play has not (over the years, not just today) been significantly better or worse in the postseason than the regular season.

Packers-Niners is becoming just as epic as Ravens-Broncos, but I feel like I'm the only one on the thread watching it.

I just wonder what sort of existence that affords you in the big-network media realm, when you carry yourself publicly the way she does.

Yep, that Kaepernick can run a little.
