    What? They had one timeout. They used it with 13 seconds left. Run it out and kick the field goal with 2 seconds left.

    The Seahawks had two timeouts. Why not try to run a quick seam route to the 40 or so of the Falcons and call a quick timeout? No need to run an out pattern to get out of bounds.

    Isn't it more likely that Ryan Longwell would miraculously hit a 65 yarder than completing a Hail Mary without replacement officials there?

    You're correct. I was thinking about why they didn't run one more play, but they should have waited to call it after Gonzalez's catch. Probably a heat of the moment deal by someone on the field.

    I still think I would have tried the 65-yard field goal. It has to be a higher percentage play than a hail mary, right? Especially without the benefit of replacement referees. :)

    I'd say Longwell form 65 yards is a 0% shot. So, no.
