    How are you employed?

  2. No more than having Matt Millen discuss ANYTHING related to management/personnel decisions.

I'll just say this . . . LJB understands the quirks and personalities behind the NFL refereeing roster more than most, and it's a not-unimportant thing to understand, in this sport. Not . . unimportant.

Imagine if every game played in the league were officated as Saturday's Raves/Steelies was. I'd vomit.

  4. Shoring up their special teams would be HUGE help. Didn't the Steelers give up like 14 points in special teams' play to the Jets?

That is a bit harsh, but refusing to run a guy's picture because you don't like him is incredibly unprofessional.

Given his tinfoil-hat foolishness, I find your first statement there impossible to believe.

Not harsh at all, he is a racist and lets his personal hatred dictate what he would put in his paper. He does not deserve to be employed.

Thanks, Ben. We all watch the games intently enough to identify the bunglers by name. The league wants them to be nameless, but nuh-uh. They don't make it easy for anyone.

I don't want to see a career mutilator like Jeff Triplette near an NFL playoff game. I hope we could all agree on that.

As long as your take is that the refs are simply inept, I'm OK with that. You lose me when you go off the rails by apparently claiming they are involved in some sort of conspiracy to help a certain team.

When an official like Triplette is constantly a factor in the game, constantly at the center of controversy, one team constantly a beneficiary of shitshow officiating, it's a logical progression.

    You don't recall correctly.

First, the officials are far from "constantly" factors in games. Second, Triplette is hardly the only official involved in controversial calls. Third, all the missed or controversial calls do not benefit one team (see the playoff interception vs. Indianapolis or the blown coin-toss call if you are looking for controversial plays that went against the Steelers, and there are many missed calls in games that don't involve them). Fourth, you have misused the word "logical."
