Fair point. I honestly didn't even realize that the refs blew that one Saturday until I saw a replay this morning, but Suggs definitely nailed Roethlisberger in the head with both hands. It really wasn't much of a hit, but that doesn't matter.

Speaking of hits to the head, was anything said about the hit in the Jets-Patriots game that caused part of the paint on Welker's helmet to go flying? That looked like helmet-to-helmet, yes?

LJB presented his arguments in a very reasoned and lucid fashion with plenty of supporting evidence. If you don't agree with him--either b/c you're a Steelers fan and/or b/c you think the evidence is circumstantial--that's fine. But he's not a crackpot.

  4. I never called him a crackpot, I just said his conspiracy theories are weak at best. But, i also know that any time a Steelers fan tries to enter this pissing match, the masses usually turn on them immediately and ask questions later. It is what it is, bro

  5. with the way the league has been calling that, I expected to see a penalty as well.

Just b/c you don't agree with him doesn't mean he should be condescendingly dismissed.

A Bears-Jets Super Bowl would make the world a better place. Let's all root for that. Who's with me, people?

Not me. I hate you. But then again I hate everyone.

I prefer Jets-Packers. That way you and all the Yinzers can whine.

Harping on the nine-yard first down repeatedly is evidence? He has provided evidence of bad officiating over the years. It is the leap to the games being fixed that he can't even come close to supporting. So yes, until he comes up with something more than veiled references to gambling interests, he absolutely deserves to be dismissed.

There is plenty of circumstantial evidence suggesting the Steelers have benefited, more than anyone, from questionable calls since the horrendous Colts game in 2006. You can think it's hogwash to believe games are fixed (and you know I think games are fixed). But he makes a compelling argument, even if it's one with which you don't agree.

  12. When was I condescending? I said I asked him questions, and his reply was that I was missing the elephant in the room. He posted the picture of Vinnie. I commented on it. Again, I tried to ask him questions, and I was dismissed because he says he is unbiased. I admitted I was a Steelers fan (big surprise based on my username and avatar) so we could get that out of the way but like I said, it is pointless, because no matter how unconfrontational a discussion I try and start, i am immediately jumped and dismissed because the vast majority of the vocal posters of this board hates everything Steelers, and I get lumped into that. I tried to avoid being confrontational but I guess that didn't matter.
