Let's limit responses to posters who know a thing or two about the NFL.

Pardon me if this was already covered somewhere in the first 54 pages, but why was the Seattle-Chicago game on Sunday so early? Why not have NY-NE be the first game and have the other game played later? Not that it probably would have made much of a difference, but the Seachickens sure seemed to be sleepwalking.

They were sleepwalking because they are bad at football. But Jets/Patriots belonged in prime time.

I don't think you're being confrontational. I did think you were being condescending, and still do (in regards to the original post). Smiley faces, "I didn't expect much else," etc. We can agree to disagree on tone. You butthead. :D

Pretty sure Suggs hit Roethlisberger's arm first which almost always means the ref isn't going to call a blow to the head. If you knock the ball out, then crash into a guy's head, it's pretty much a free for all. Anyone using that as an example of the Steelers "also getting jobbed" is reaching big time. The play that should have been a flag on the Ravens was a few plays before that when Suggs hit Roethlisberger on the knee and there was no flag. Ward also got flagged for essentially provoking Ed Reed into punching him in the face, which was absurd. But trying to whine about that Suggs sack-turned-TD is just fanboi whining.

  10. I was wondering why the Steelers Ravens game was on Saturday afternoon also, but I got to thinking that both CBS and Fox get one primetime game out of the weekend. And as much of a following as Pit/Bal would have, I think the Patriots/Jets matchup was more appealing and made that their Sunday primetime spot. I'm guessing Fox chose Atlanta/GB as their primetime matchup, forcing the seattle game for the early spot on Sunday.

  11. That's fine, I honestly wasn't trying to be condescending.

They alternate years, PP. Last year the divisional weekend games had the Pats-Ravens as early Sunday game, and Fox had Minnesota-Dallas as late game. So this year Fox got the (theoretically) less desirable 1 p.m. game this year. Same thing with the conference title games. Jets-Colts was first last year, so Steelers-Jets will get the absurd 6:30 kickoff this year.
