It was unavoidable. Welker is at best 5'8" and he lowered is head. Smith was in perfect "hit" position.

Would love to hear what Belichick said to Ryan after game. I've never seen Hoody that gracious after playoff loss.

Shit - Boris Cheek - can't believe they are bringing him in.

Going to have to agree to disagree on this one. He has shown examples of bad officiating. Look at the replay of Ed Reed and Hines Ward fighting and only Ward getting penalized from Saturday and tell me the officials were helping the Steelers out. Or Suggs smacking Roethlisberger in the head with both hands on the fumble.

Badly-officiated game? Definitely. Proven to be one-sided? Not by a long shot.

What else has he shown? The Steelers first game against the Jets? If the officials really wanted to help Pittsburgh in that one, they would have called the illegal contact on Cromartie on the final play. He blocked Sanders from getting away from the sideline with both hands and no call. Given that there is an official watching every eligible receiver on every pass play, it's not like they didn't see it, so why not help their boys out on that one?

But there is so much evidence that we shouldn't dismiss LJB's crackpot conspiracy theories? Sorry. He has to do better.

Cheek was involved in that dust-up with Aqib Talib earlier in the season.

The argument LJB is trying to make is that the officials are looking for ways to help the Steelers. What they usually call is meaningless. By rule, you can't hit the guy in the head and Suggs did. Please understand the rules better before you start calling posts "fanboi whining" next time.

OOP, shove aside all the other stuff and explain why the Ravens-Steelers was the only shitshow from an officiating standpoint this weekend. I could not find one thing to bitch about in the Chicago game, and the others were called cleanly as well. Same with the opening round.

Go check a Seattle fan forum and ask their opinion on the refs.

I've been on a few today and they're wrong.

Well, if you say so, I guess that is enough.

Sorry, but even if I was to agree that it was the worst officiating job of the weekend, that isn't even close to enough evidence to back up the shit you are trying to shovel.

You must not watch much NFL football.

There's a difference between watching it and leaving diarrheal droplets on here about the games.

That's what I thought. Thank you for reminding us again.

Besides, I thought you were done with me? :)

I'll be done when you move on. I don't have the patience or energy to explain this to you, and frankly the stakes are too low.
