Hard to keep track of all the Cutler threads, but we were talking about whether or not he gets rattled by pressure.

Football Outsiders had an interesting breakdown.

Against 3- and 4-man pass rushes, Cutler is pretty much exactly league average in completion rate and yards per attempt. Against 6 or more pass rushers, Cutler gets 1.8 more yards per completion than the league average and 5 percentage points more completions. But against exactly five pass rushers, Cutler's numbers dip to way below average.

Also interesting is that Cutler is No. 2 in the NFC in average production while scrambling (he gets enough practice, I imagine). No. 1? Aaron Rodgers.

Again Rick, too much statistical analysis.

    *shrug*

You don't think it's interesting that Cutler has struggled against one-man blitzes but has torched 2+?

I'm sorry but this is really fucking inspired.

Man, I caught up on nine pages of this thread hoping for some fun stuff (thank you bubbler, ygbfkm and armchairqb) and some good analysis (which is making a bit of a comeback on this page) and instead got mostly a completely inane and pointless pissing match between - shocker - oop and someone else.

I have nothing personal against you oop and having spent some time in Pittsburgh actually kinda like the Steelers (minus Bathroom Ben) and the lowly Pirates. But there is one common denominator in all the pissing matches you're in. Please stop.

I do. I'm guessing it's because the Bears offensive line (especially earlier in the year) folded even against a small blitz easily and with six in coverage there was still plenty of coverage.

So you are saying that hitting the quarterback in the head is allowed in the NFL? Please check out 1996.

By rule, the officials could have called a personal foul on Suggs on the fumble Saturday. If they were really looking to help the Steelers out, why pass up that opportunity? Replay would have backed them up.

I was thinking when I posted that. You just missed the point when you read it.

Also, I never said that "the NFL wouldn't want to help Big Ben." Somebody else posted that. So please take it up with that poster, not me.

Do the Steelers have some pull with the league office? Sure. But is that enough to get the league to use officials to fix games? Please tell me you are smarter than that.

One man's opinion of the remaining quarterbacks in the playoffs. Thoughts?

Personally, I don't see rating Sanchez ahead of Cutler.

    I would go:
    1. Rodgers
    2. Roethlisberger
    3. Cutler
    4. Sanchez

Tough call for the top, but I think Rodgers is a better QB although Roethlisberger has already had the postseason success.

    Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Cutler, Sanchez.

But Roethlisberger is getting a lot of points because he fits what his team needs so well. He couldn't be effective on a lot of other teams.

    I'll chime in my agreement:

    1. Rodgers
    2. Roethlisberger
    3. Cutler
    4. Sanchez

Big Ben might have the more illustrious history, but NOBODY is playing better than Rodgers right now. Saturday was one of the greatest QB performances ever. And Cuter is better than Sanchez, he just is.
