Nantz during the last two minutes made me think what it would have been like if Al Michaels had spent the last 30 seconds in Lake Placid calling, "you can't count out those Russkies! They still have a chance!" What kind of announcer obviously doesn't want to call the biggest upset of the year in the NFL?

YOU must be proud rooting for Rapelisberger. But as long as the Steelers win, right?

Sanchez was arrested for sexual assault at USC. He was out on $200K bail when the charges were dropped.

Darn facts. YGBFKM doesn't care because he isn't a Steeler.

I'm sure every Chicago Bear ever has been an ideal human being. ::)

I never thought I'd see people defending Big Ben's off-field shenanigans or saying, eh, no biggie. I thought that was one redeeming value in Stiller fans this year, that even they seemed repulsed by him.

    Live and learn, I guess.

    Very good point.

Another thing to consider in the Pats' case is the absence of Weis and Crennell as coordinators. Both were flops as head coaches but both were outstanding coordinators. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Patriots haven't won the Super Bowl since they left.

Wasn't it just a month ago folks were noting that Brady has never lost a game when it's snowing? After the Pats shredded the Bears at Soldier Field? That's right, it was.
Cold had nothing to do with it. The Jets played great coverage and knocked Brady on his ass repeatedly. If they'd done that on an 80-degree day, the results would have been the same.
Come to think of it, it was about 80 when the Jets beat Pats in September.

So have the Patriots won many big games since the Spy Gate stuff broke?

And my follow-up, just looking back to 2009.

Favre was 33 TD, 7 INT. His playoff games were in Minneapolis and New Orleans.

If he was playing outdoors in any NFC cold climate (PHL, NYG, GB), I can't say I would have seen him winning the game if it was 15 degrees or colder.

Although, I still maintain the Bears suck... :)

However, I wonder if when a QB "over 30" gets hits in cold weather if it affects him more. Harder to get up? Tougher to shake off the pain?
