I agree that he's shown flashes of brilliance in the past. And I agree that he's had a bunch of terrible games, too. I'm just not sure what that has to do with what he's doing now.

I'm saying he's playing pretty well. Plain and simple.
You're saying he's playing pretty well and that you want to see him play well for a longer period of time before......before what exactly? Before you put him in the HOF? Before you're comfortable with Reid naming him the starter of the rest of the year?

Or are you just bitter that someone you loathe is getting some attention after playing out of his mind the last couple games?

Careful, it won't be long before he goes on a multi-page dissertation comparing and contrasting Hardy Nickerson and Greg Lloyd.

Apparently, you haven't even been paying attention. Zag was drooling all over himself, anointing Vick as an elite quarterback and one of the best players in the NFL. That is what I was responding to.

Now please, go back to adoring the dog killer. Don't let reason slow you down.

Except when the game is wholly uncompetitive, as Pitt/TB was.

    (Adapting Andy Rooney persona):

"Gee, wouldn't you love to see a rabid pit bull leap from the stands and
go directly for Michael Vick's throat, in front of a zillion screaming Philly
    fans?

    "I know I would".

By the way. I asked during the week if it was a big deal that the Bucs lost Tanard Jackson to a drug suspension. Apparently, it was. The Steelers decided to attack the Bucs' secondary more because he wasn't back there and it was his replacement, Cody Grimm, who failed to find the ball on Mike Wallace's first touchdown reception. Grimm probably has an interception if he turns around in time.

That's what they get for letting the son of a lineman play safety. (Cody is Russ Grimm's son).

Admittedly, I did not read Zag's posts on this topic. However, Vick is one of the best players in the NFL. Whether he's one of the 10 best, 20 best, 50 best, or 100 best....well....that's up for debate.

At this very moment, Vick is an elite QB in the NFL. That could change in a week, two weeks, three weeks, etc...But there aren't many QBs playing as well as he is at the moment. That's a fact.

    How's that for adoration?

And I love how you throw out the phrase "dog killer" as if I'm gonna see it and think "OMG!!! What am I doing? How can I root for a DOG KILLER?!?!?!?! OMG!!!!! I'm a terrible human being and should just kill myself!!!"

You're such a bitter little person. It's amusing.

The second half of Eagles-Jags was a god-awful television experience. At least I had one huge advantage over those actually in the stadium; I could doze off or change to the golf. I noticed the Jags had entire sections of seats covered in tarps; I wonder if they noticed this on Park Avenue?

So you were posting from ignorance. Got it.

Is Mark Sanchez an elite quarterback at this moment, too?

And you are missing the point on the dog killer thing, too. I don't expect you to change your point of view on that. You obviously don't care that this player that you love is a complete lowlife. I do like that it seems to tick you off.

I'm having way too much fun with this stuff to be bitter.

If not reading Zag's posts makes me ignorant, so be it. I don't live on this site. Sorry.

And I couldn't care less about Sanchez. I thought we were talking about Vick?

It doesn't tick me off in the least that you hate Vick. Lots of people hate Vick.

    VICK FOR MVP!!!!! YES!!!!!!!

Just wait till he takes down mighty Donovan McNabb and the Redskins next week. THEN, we'll be talking Hall of Fame.

    YES!!!!

If you are complaining about a post without even knowing what it is in response to, then yes, that is ignorance.

The Sanchez point is one of logic, which apparently you have tossed out the window in your love for the dog killer.

I don't hate Vick. Never met the man. I think he's a lowlife, but that isn't the same thing as hating him. There are plenty of lowlifes in the NFL. The only one I might be able to work up enough emotion to hate is Leonard Little, because he killed somebody while driving drunk and then got arrested again for DUI after serving his ridiculously-short jail sentence. But he's probably the only one. Is he even active any more?

I just think you and some others are getting a little too excited over two-plus games.
