    Rivers played pretty well yesterday.

Orton and Cutler have also been impressive. Especially because they are Kyle Orton and Jay Cutler.

See, that's where we differ. I enjoy a good athlete redemption story.

Oh, and I'd never root for the Steelers. They employ a rapist at QB!!!!!!!!! My God. You'd have to be a bad guy to root for that team and/or that guy!!!!!

No team is dominant this season, but if Troy stays healthy and Ben is not mentally shot from the off season, this team will be very, very tough.

Troy is the key to this team.

From behind . . . which is much easier than maintaining a narrow lead, because
most defenses will relax a schooch when defending with a two-score lead, whether they acknowledge it, or not.

Michael Vick is playing incredible football right now. He's playing as well as anybody in the NFL. Doesn't mean I'm going to cheer for him.

I'm not at all objective about this. Intellectually, I agree with everything Ryan's said. He's served his time, paid his debt to society, all that. I know that. But emotionally, I can't get over the fact that this guy ran a dog-fighting ring and killed dogs. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get past that. But that's my own opinion, one colored by my emotions.

He's playing great. Doesn't mean I'm cheering for him.

Apparently the difference is beyond you, too. Find me a team in this league that doesn't have at least one dirtbag on the roster. You, on the other hand, are rooting for the dirtbag because you like the dirtbag.

Rivers did get them ahead late in the game, right?

It's tough to win football games when you defense does not give up the touchdowns.

On that last part, we agree. Polamalu has to stay healthy for that team to go anywhere. There are other guys on that defense making just as many plays, but they are all much easier to replace. Polamalu is impossible to replace.

Are you one of those guys who needs the blue font and/or smiley faces? Apparently so.

Yup. I like the dirtbag. In fact, I'm thinking about using my contacts to get myself invited on one of his fishing trips next summer. You want me to put in a good word for you?

    Oh....wait....

    :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Joking or not, you were still making a comparison.

Those redemption stories usually turn out so well.

A mistake is something that happens once, that was not the case with Vick, but he went to your favorite school so it doesn't matter what he did.

No. It matters. If he had been convicted of murder, rape, child molestation, or any number of things that I place in the "worse than dogfighting" category, I'd re-evaluate my opinion of him.

At the same time, I can appreciate and understand why people have such hatred for him. I just don't share that hatred. Pretty simple.
