My point is, it's a ridiculous question because no team (I hope) would ever let a convicted pedophile on the team.

"Is what Vick did any less reprehensible (than what pedophiles do)? No." -- that's your opinion. I'm sure you wouldn't have to look too hard to find someone who would disagree. But that would open another set of awful, mind-numbing debate. We have enough of those going on around here.

I like the Texans and the points this week.

Fair enough, I suppose, though I think raping a child is an entirely different beast, but that's not a road we need to go down. Still, though I can't help but get involved in these pissing matches, it always ends up better to agree to disagree. Although I would like to end with saying that the only person who knows if Michael Vick is remorseful is Michael Vick. I choose to give him the benefit of the doubt.

(Oh, and I'd like to add that I'm a Cowboys fan, so my rooting interests have no bearing on my opinion about Vick.)

Agree completely, service. Lots of people get emotional about this topic, which is 100 percent understandable. I don't think anyone's excusing the man's actions.

Way easier to agree to disagree.

  4. Hey, agreeing to disagree will not be tolerated on this board.

If we start a rumor that it's Favre, do you think he'll finally be forced into retirement?

God help us if it turns out Michael Vick fixed one of his dogfights. We'll make it to 70 pages and be calling each other "satanic motherfuckers" by Saturday night.

At least you got the last part right.

MisterCreosote's post makes more sense because it differentiates between making a mistake out of ignorance and doing something horrible out of desire, in this case desire for entertainment that a decent person would find disgusting.

It refers to the excuse we keep hearing for Vick. He didn't know any better. He was raised with that crap. Now he knows better.

The only thing he knows better is that he can go to jail for it. I'm not kicking him when he's down. He isn't down. He is starting in the NFL again. I'm just saying that he's a bad guy and I think supporting him as an individual is a bad thing.

By the way, I was not saying that MisterCreosote's post comparing this to a pedophile makes sense. That is not a valid comparison. Vick has a right to play again. I wouldn't feel that way about a pedophile and I don't believe the NFL would, either.

I cannot see more than three touchdowns scored in the Pittsburgh game. That under looks nice.
