Not that we'd ever get access to the data / science, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's not much safety benefit to larger pads - it's more of a benefit if you want to ram or hurt your opponent, for example.

    Yes.
Not even Stafford’s junk TDs will help.

Everybody in LA can go back to overanalyzing the Lakers again.

It's not just the number of sacks, it's how fast they give them up and the full pressure.

There’s the margin where Uncle Al makes the difference. Last five minutes of a blowout, I’ll ride it out with him. Mike Tirico? He’s cromulent but he isn’t keeping me around.

    Goddamn right. This x1000.

Uncle Al would have kept me after 24-10. Tirico just isn’t interesting.

Uncle Al still has the fastball. And it's too bad Fox didn't follow through with Robert Kraft's push to have him be the lead on Fox after Buck left, so he could do two of the next three Super Bowls.

We've talked about it before -- NBC has screwed the pooch many times with its announcers. This one with Uncle Al might be its worst. Al just raises games to a whole other level.

Al is, what, 75-80% of what he was at his peak in the late 80s? That’s incredible.

Heard him on a podcast this week. So incredibly quick on the non-scripted stuff. Always has a story.
