Mike Phipps (3# pick) would have done as well with the Steelers as Bradshaw did

With the Bears luck, Peterson will be reinstated, play and go for 200 yards and three touchdowns.

    RJ-
The McCaskeys are too cheap and too staid to be paired with Harbaugh.
They are not known for hiring volatile personalities.

The Obvious: In the 45 seasons since George Halas retired from coaching the Bears, they've played in 2 Championship games and won 1 ( and that was 29 years ago). In the same time period the Bengals have appeared in 2 Super Bowls, lost both

The Bears are a pedestrian franchise, more relevant than the Chiefs, less relevant than the Rams.

And is there a head coach who did less with more than Mike Ditka? He won 11 or more games with the Bears 6 times and made only 1 Championship appearance. Except for his Super Bowl win, he never won more than 1 playoff game in a season.

So he was the Bobby Cox of the NFL?

Ditka was always overrated- four home playoff losses, two after first-round byes.

Buddy Ryan deserves more credit than Ditka.
