What I don't get is that Tebow cannot make throws under pressure. So when he is in an empty set, bring everyone. On the last drive, the Jets did that once (on the last play) and Eric Smith took an awful angle, but he had an easy shot at him.

All kudos to the winning drive, but the Jets offense should never had let that game be close.

I don't get how he is so far off in his throws. I watched a lot of his Florida games and while he did not make a lot of difficult throws he made some pretty accurate ones when needed.

My theory is that they have screwed with his mechanics too much.

You might be right on the mechanics, but the speed of NFL defenses is a factor too. That extra split second can be all the difference in an "pretty accurate" throw and a typical Tebow throw.

Agree that closing speed of NFL D's is a factor but I did not see a lot of his throws knocked down last night. Most of misses were due to lack of accuracy. It seemed like more of a timing issue with his receivers.

Between the Raiders and Jets he has made 2 NFL teams look inept in their ability to defend Zone read even though they knew it was coming.

He wouldn't need the dramatics if he could throw worth a damn the first three-plus quarters, especially the way that defense is playing.

The truly silly thing is giving him the credit for something the entire team did.

Well no one is comparing Tebow to Aaron Rodgers. When your defense plays at that high a level, and you have a great QB, of course it'll look easy. But the NFL has a lot of mediocre and average QBs out there. Only a handful of teams ever win so convincingly. The only reason people jump on Tebow is because, as a traditional QB, he's shitty and it causes people to scream bloody murder, even when he wins. But if Philip Rivers had beaten the Jets 17-13 with a last minute drive, no one would be ripping him for not having the game won the first three quarters. No one would rip him, period.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a small part of John Fox that is just praying that Tebow either shits the best or gets hurt to make his life a lot easier...

Von Miller played out of his mind and I haven't seen one thing on this thread about him.

He "gets" the win, too. He's also taking aim at the rookie sacks record.

Exactly. It's like saying Steve Kerr and Robert Horry were the reason the Bulls and Lakers won titles because they hit the winning shot.

Tebow is part of a team that is winning with great defense.

As for people who love watching Tebow win because his style is "anti-establishment" did they say the same thing when Mouse Davis and June Jones were using the Run and Shoot to actually win playoff games?
