So JC, Mile High, OOP, if you were in charge, who do you want quarterbacking the Broncos this weekend against the Chargers?

    John Elway.

I have no problem with them starting Tebow, I'm actually enjoying it but let's keep some perspective, do you really believe he is going to a consistent starting QB? Finish the season with this sideshow and go out and get a QB.

I never said they shouldn't start him, though I really don't get the point of cutting Orton at this point.

That said, you and many others are giving Tebow way too much credit for what the Broncos have done of late.

Name two players on the defense. (No, Tebow doesn't count.)

You would have a really great argument if it were rooted in fact/reality.

When Orton imploded against San Diego, the move had to be made. But the evidence is piling up more than a mile high for everyone to see what team FEX saw on the field away from open practices -- that the guy is not good enough to be the long-term solution to have this team win the Super Bowl.

It's clearly a massive rebuilding job after McDouche dropped the nuclear bomb on the franchise and you've got to see what the guy can't do, which he's doing in spades. So, yeah, start him the rest of the year. I'm fine with that. Have said that.

But besides the winning -- yes, an important factor -- you've got to look at all aspects of how he plays the position and its effect on the rest of the team and whether it can be a success long-term. And it's just amazing at how the acolytes go off the rails and get delusional and can't bring themselves to say one negative thing about how he plays the game when it's clear this is one of the biggest smoke and mirror jobs in sports.

I don't think anybody but the God Squadders think he's a long term solution. I certainly never said he is. And nobody here has a better solution for this weekend (and the broncos had 2.5 million reasons for releasing Orton). So I still don't understand why he's shit on week after week. For chrissake, what's he got, 7 career NFL starts?

Is Tebow the Broncos' best option at quarterback this very moment? Absolutely.

Have Tebow shown he's the Broncos' long-term solution at quarterback? No -- his throwing is way too suspect.

    3. Can Tebow be the Broncos' long-term solution at quarterback? At this point, who knows?

So the consensus is that Tebow is the Broncos' best option at quarterback right now. Not one poster has a better solution at qb for the Chargers this weekend. He's electrified the stadium week after week. The team has won four of his five starts. Yet the same half dozen posters here have shit on him for five weeks.

    Amazing.

I would have rather started Orton than Tebow, but it's obviously too late now.

I'm shitting on his play at the quarterback position, not him personally as you insinuate. Big difference.

And when the next Detroit game comes -- and it is -- we'll get to see how Quinn is.
