Yes, but the Pats still have four AFC East divisional games in the bank. Two with the Jets, too. So I think they're still a safe bet for a bye.

    You want more eerie?

42 yard line on both of them.

    More eerie.

The only three-time Defensive Player of the Year Lawrence Taylor was involved in the injury. Theismann’s Pro Bowl left tackle, Joe Jacoby, wasn’t on the field due to injury.

The only other three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt was involved in the injury. Smith’s Pro Bowl left tackle, Trent Williams, wasn’t on the field due to injury.

If Dan Snyder's secretary is named Cooke, and if Jack Kent Cooke's secretary was named Snyder . . . .

I was trying to find out exactly the time they both took place......

Smith's was 7:55 in the third.
Couldn't find the exact time on Theismann's, but I read several clips that the time on the Longine's clock said 10:05 and that it was early second quarter.

I wonder if Theismann winces a little any time someone attempts a flea flicker.

It may come down to the game in Pittsburgh Dec. 16. Given the history between those two teams since Brady became the quarterback, you are probably right in saying the Patriots are a safe bet for a bye.

I’m done with it now. Kap’s days of playing in the NFL are over. Not fair to him but that’s the way it is.
