    If by Tommy Maddox game, you mean the one in which the Steelers came back from 17 points down to beat the Browns in their only playoff appearance in the first 21 years after their return to the NFL, yes.

    Teams will still draft an unproven guy in the first round because he's cheaper than a veteran QB. Imagine how much you would have to spend to "guarantee" a five-year deal with a proven back-up?

    The greatest advantage in the NFL is a top QB on a rookie deal. So teams not only overdraft but they typically throw the rookie in way too soon.
