I'm sorry but that was funny!

Worried? It was a comment made to make fun of your in-depth takes (Grossman sucks, Grossman sucks, Grossman sucks, blah, blah, blah).

As someone pointed out earlier, he's only played a season full of games. He may turn it around; he may not.

Only a pompous ass would declare one way or the other at this point.

    OK, fanboy, you win.
Before he's done, Rex Grossman will be viewed as Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Dan Marino and Jhn Elway all rolled into one.

C'mon, spnited. That's not what he's saying. He's saying that after 16 games it's too soon to say Grossman is a shitty quarterback. He's a work in progress (and this is coming from someone who hopes he gets VD after today's debacle).

    Unlike Eli Manning.

I don't know. Eli's more of an impending disaster than a work in progress. This is going on two straight seasons of his game-killing interceptions.

I fall asleep and the Giants lost? Are you kidding me? Un - freaking - believable! Before I fell asleep I thought, briefly, "What would happen if they did an Eagles against the Giants?" Can't wait until the fallout from this one. Coach Tiki vs. Coach Coughlin.

If the trends continue, the Cowboys are going to whup up on the Giants next week. But given the current 'logic,' the Giants will crush the Cowboys. Crazy stuff. I've got to go to the VHS tape and watch this for myself (yes, I'm not in the tivo era yet).

Spnited, forgive me. But I can't wait to hear WFAN tonight. It's going to be open season.

Vince Young gets another big 'W.'

Yes, but coming into this season, Eli was the "work in progress."

Now, he's a work in regress.

Pallister, I think you can understand why people look at Grossman differently. A.) He's been in the league four years and B.) He's QBing the top team in the NFC.

Now, yes, he's, for all intents and purposes, got one season under his belt. He's in the beginning of his second actual on-field season right now (what was today, his 17th or 18th start?). But when you QB a team with Super Bowl aspirations, the warts and all (hi Parcells) are far more apparent than when you're QBing, say, the Titans.

Grossman last week was pretty close to awful. If not for Bradley's catch-and-run, that's a 3-0 game. And that pick today to end the game was just awful. The Cardinals game was, as has been noted, perhaps the worst performance ever by a QB whose team came back from a gigantic deficit to win.

Much of the time, he's not even Trent Dilfer in 2000...managing the game well and making a handful of key throws.

This doesn't mean he's not going to be a pretty good QB some day. It doesn't even mean he's not the best QB on that team (no way I'd want Griese taking over a 9-2 team). But it does mean that it is difficult to imagine the Bears winning the NFC with Grossman playing as poorly as he has over the bulk of the last six weeks.

I only saw the highlights, but man, it looked like the Giants were on the take. Pros just don't make mistakes or give up on plays the way the Giants did.

    BYH,
I don 't expect them to if he keeps making critical mistakes. That said, he's not a lost cause yet. And the coaching staff could help out by running the football more and taking some of the pressure off him.
