Mara: Schoen, do you think maybe my power plant killed those ducks?
Schoen: There's no maybe about it, sir.
Mara (wiping a tear from his eye): Excellent.

The league fought against Baltimore's expansion bid even though history has show the city would have been a better choice than Jacksonville. Tried to get the Browns' move squashed behind the scenes. Previous commissioner was tight with Jack Kent Cooke and tried to get Colts fans to accept the Washington team. It failed miserably.
I don't have any real evidence that the league animus remains, but I suspect they'd rather have Miami or Denver in the playoffs.

I'm all for a good sports conspiracy theory, but there's no chance the NFL would prefer the Dolphins (QB who provides a reminder of the dangers of football every time he takes a snap) or the Broncos (Sean Payton) in the playoffs over the Ravens and their HOF-bound, likely three-time MVP QB.

You realize that the Ravens have won two Super Bowls and been one of the NFL's best and most consistent franchises of the past 25 years, right?
If the NFL has a long-running conspiracy to stick it to Baltimore, they're doing a really shitty job at it.

I imagine the ones with conspiracy theories about the Ravens still haven't forgiven the NFL for moving the Browns. Or Walter O'Malley for moving the Dodgers.

Probably because most of those people involved are dead.

Yes, they are. They never wanted this to happen, and it keeps happening. It's beautiful to behold.

I will take a Greasy Mexican if the Commanders lose to the Titans at home.
