NFL, 49ers prepared backup plans months ago - ProFootballTalk

PFT suggests that Arizona is a more likely destination, as they wouldn't have to reinstall equipment for replay and the 49ers have no schedule conflicts with the Cards during that time period.

At the rate things are going, Harbaugh and Tomlin will be suiting up, but they're gonna play? (Harbaugh was a defensive back at Miami (OH) and Tomlin played wide receiver at William and Mary. Maybe a slight edge to Tomlin because he is 10 years younger?)

So Cam Newton got COVID and the NFL gave the Patriots a few extra days to prepare.
Lamar Jackson tested positive and the NFL gave the Ravens five extra days to prepare.
Who did the Broncos piss off to not at least get until Monday or Tuesday when their entire quarterback room was wiped out?

I thought the unavailability of an entire position group compelled postponement. Or am I thinking just of college recommendations?
It does seem a bit odd that the NFL is allowing the Broncos game to go forward even though that means theatre of the absurd is going to be on display for a television audience to watch.

It is almost as if the NFL is sticking to the idea of postponing games only when they can't be played safely.

I have no idea what the deal was with the Patriots when Newton had COVID. I know in the case of the Ravens, I don't think they have had a day without a new positive test yet this week, and now their opponent has had positive tests two consecutive days.

AP was reporting the Denver QBs were guilty of not following protocols so the team gets the “tough shit” ruling.

Who in Denver ratted out their teammates?
