We talking honkey RBs? If so; the line starts with Peyton Hillis, the only white RB to ever grace the cover of Madden.

—Steve Largent: When he retired he was the leader in catches, yards and touchdowns.
    — Riggins and Gronk.
    — Larry Csonka: it’s hard to explain how much of a monster he was when he played.
    — Dave Casper
    — Mark Bavaro
    — Dwight Clark

Not saying all are better, but they were damn good players. I tempted to add his dad, mainly because he was a consistent scorer on my first (and likely only) fantasy championship team.

RB - John Riggins and maybe Larry Csonka. Those two and Jim Taylor are the only three white running backs in the top 50 all-time in rushing yardage.
WR - Steve Largent, Lance Alworth, maybe Welker and Edelman.
    TE - Gronk, Witten

McCaffrey is way too early in his career to put him in any historical context yet, but he certainly has the potential to be right there with any of those guys. As far as running backs go, he's certainly more versatile and explosive than Riggins and Csonka. Those guys were just tanks. McCaffrey had more receptions last season (107) than Csonka had in his 11-year career (106).

    OK.

McCaffrey has more total yards this season than Riggins ever did in his 14 year career... and McCaffrey has only played 10 games.

Riggins was a damn good player and 14 years is a ridiculously long run. At his best he wasn't close to McCaffrey.

The market for FA qbs will be interesting this year. Cam Newton, Bridgewater, Winston, Mariotta, Dalton, Flacco. Really not sure if any of the first rounders from college are likely to surpass most of them. But they'll be cheaper.

If MCCaffrey retired at the end of the year is he in the HOF? Riggins is the leader in the clubhouse. MCCaffrey is a beast and one of the 5 best offensive players in the league, without regard to skin tone. But he has some production to maintain to equal Riggins.

I know it is a product of your time thing, but McCaffrey in 43 games has more catches, receiving yards and receving TDs than Riggins had in 175.

And he has two 1,000-yard rushing seasons in three years. Riggins had five in 14

teddy is the only one I’d take over Burrow.

So your argument is that Riggins has better career numbers after 14 seasons than McCaffrey has over 2+ seasons?

    OK.

It is really remarkable 1) how much better the Niners are with Kittle playing and 2) just how amazing both defenses are. I've got to believe Rodgers is going to explode in the second half but man the Packers look out of sorts.
