Not sure what ya mean. The Bills and Rams games are garbage? I think they'll both be competitive.

Fair comment on the Pats offense as well. On the other hand, New England defense has been excellent and they have the advantage of having played a Conference USA schedule in the first half of the season. I wonder what their record would be in the NFC West, for instance.

N'Keal Harry could be the x-factor for that offense down the stretch. This is the worst Pats offense in recent memory. Brady was, what, 11 for 25 in the first half last week? I know the line is banged up and all, but he missed some wide open throws and seems to have definitely lost a step. I wonder if the fact this is his last year in NE (I'm banking on that) is weighing on his mind.

There were games last season in which Brady looked slow and missed open throws he had completed in the past. The Patriots' loss to the Steelers was an example. The final fourth-down throw into the end zone was the type of throw I've seen Brady make to beat an opponent countless times, but in that game he missed it. Then he was fine by the playoffs. I'll believe he is done when I see it and not a moment sooner.

The one thing I see about Brady that's a little different and which I believe can be attributed to the offensive line is that he's willing to give up on more plays with throwaways than he used to be and those throwaways come a bit more quickly. This is something he's always been good at, not trying to make something from nothing, one reason he's still playing at 42, but there's more of it now.

Aren't drugs of abuse and PEDs considered separately?

That's a fair question. I think refusing or skipping a test is treated as if the player failed the test. I'm assuming if they are testing a sample for PEDs, they can also tell if the person used marijuana or other recreational drugs. Avoiding the test could and probably should be seen as Bell trying to avoid testing positive for weed again.

Bell should know how this works. His second drug-related suspension in the NFL was due to a missed test.

It is. Even if you oversleep and miss it, it's considered a fail.
