    And pro football is?

I mean, its basically everyone runs the same offense, the same defense and mediocrity is rewarded.

Matter of opinion, personal taste. I'm not going to make time for an amateur game.

West Coast teams are 0-15 on the other coast heading into today.

Boy, all that emotion with which the Redskins would be playing to honor Taylor sure helped stop the Giants on that opening scoring drive ...

We had so many Eli Manning dissenters at SportsJournalists.com as recently as 24 months ago, and long before that.
The guy's is such a leader, though. Really fun to watch him direct traffic.
It helps that he's got good personnel around him. (Something his father had a bit of, but far too little)

It was more recent than 24 months ago and he earned every bit of dissent with his erratic play. He finally put it together late last season and has carried it over to '08, for the most part.

It definitely helps to have the best offensive line in football, but Manning has to get some credit for improving his game as well.

He deserved all of the scorn (and it's been less than a year)- he was terribly erratic, and he killed the team. Him "getting it" is basically all that changed between the mediocre team of most of last year, and the juggernaut they've been since.

Bullshit call on Tampa to negate a pick in the EZ
Saints are my team, and they immediately scored to cut to 17-20 in 4th
But, damn. That was a bullshit call - away from the play, by R.Barber, who wasn't even of consequence.

On the flip side - GO SAINTS !

The Colts-Browns game set football back and least 60 years today. Ugh.

Roger Goddell on line 1 for Julius Peppers. Enjoy your payroll deduction, asshat.

Thank goodness I'm at work so I couldn't watch it.

So Buffalo scores 54 last week against the Chiefs.

This week's opponent is the NFC equivalent: the 49ers. And Buffalo is at home.

Final score: Buffalo 3, San Francisco 10.
