Impressive win. I enjoyed it, anyway.

There was another reason for Cassel racking up back-to-back 400-yard performances -- weak pass defenses. Specifically, the 26th- and 28th-ranked pass defenses in the NFL this season in the Jets and Dolphins. The Steelers, obviously, are a different beast.

And yes, that was an awesome performance to see today. Maybe TV and sports talk radio will stop talking about whether the Patriots should at least think about trading Brady and instead keep Cassel longterm. I even know a few Pats fans who bought into that. Cassel will make a lot of money during the offseason, but not with the Patriots.

    That's insane.

Great win, by the way. I'd like it if the offense found a little more consistency, but you can't really complain when the Steelers are playing so well on the other side.

I know fans who have talked about that, too. One even told me he thought they should consider using the franchise tag on Cassel, either to trade Brady or just in case he isn't 100 percent for next year. I didn't even wait to watch Cassel yesterday to tell the guy he was nuts.

Trey, I wonder if the Steelers are capable of any offensive consistency. They still struggle in short yardage, Roethlisberger is good for at least one really dumb throw per game and the receivers drop too many passes.

Is it required to be stupid to be the Raiders coach? Can Janikowski even run 10 yards?

If he was chased by the cops? Yes. He could run 10 yards.

Creamsicles are in the conversation for worst uniform ever in any sport.

As are these -- the Denver Broncos' original uniforms, with a yellow and brown color scheme and vertically striped socks.

A Giants win at home against Philly and a Cowboys loss at Pittsburgh and the Giants clinch the NFC EAST and probably a 1st round bye.

So much for the East being the best and most competitive division.

Or maybe, and I know this might be a shock, the Giants weren't a fluke champion and are the best team in football.
